A bunch of local artists including Tono and the Finance Company, Bear Cat, Artisan Guns, Cool Rainbows, Dear Time’s Waste and several more, have been quietly (I don’t know how quietly actually…I might just not have been paying attention) recording an album of Christmas songs. It’s called A Very Little Christmas and it’s available for *free* download here AND you can buy a hard copy either from Marbecks or at Amplifier. I’m currently downloading it as I type - I can’t wait for the aural light and shade it will offer to complement the onslaught of Mariah Carey and Broadway-stars-sing-Christmas-songs that I’ve been playing constantly.
